Consolodate SIMS FMS Servers

Hi

 

We have 3 schools that no longer use SIMS and FMS and i want to decommission the servers and install a new SMS and FMS server and use all three schools on the same server so is this possible?

 

Im trying to hunt down some really decent guides on how to install SIMS and FMS on a new server but not having much luck so part of me thinks it would be easier for Capita to do it!

AFAIK it's either with a VPN link back to your main site, or simpler to get each school to use their own - not what you asked I know but as the cloud version of SIMs an FMS still seems light years away, unless you move to another MIS I can't see many options. #SLTPipeDream

Is this for archive purposes as they have now moved on to a new MIS or you want to centralize the servers in one place? You can run all three off the one server if it's just for archiving quite easily, it's not so easy if they are still live and you have to patch and update them.
