Ethernet Status LEDs... HELP!!

HELP!!!!

 

Our main file server has a really wierd error with the network port. Both the activity LED and the Link LED are flashing at the same time but for 3 short flashes. The network port will not receive any information

 

Has anyone else had this problem?

What make/model is the server?

What make/model is the motherboard?

What make/model is the nic?

Checked for network loop.

No to all the answers, as i have got the other port working fine as the server as 2 ports but only runs at 100mb where as the one that is broken runs at 1Gb and hp support are useless

What device was the other end plugged in to? have you checked the server nic with something else that runs a 1000mbp?

 

Was the port manually set or auto negotiate?

think ive found the problem.. NIC has failed

Yup from what I recall in the HP fault book that is a faulty NIC. Time for a new mobo then
