[sims] Custom report to achieve inbuilt report minus selected pupils

I need to create a report to almost duplicate a built in report:

Reports > Lesson Monitor > Group Reports > Group Analysis by Lesson Category

 

Our behaviour team publish these reports but the totals are skewed by one or two pupils who are legitimately absent.

 

Anyone help with any pointers please?

Hmm someone just remembered that we did create a custom group for this scenario in the past. Will give that a try.
