Hi all, I have an issue with a piece of software in school it works fine on most machines on but certain ones for no apparent reason it doesn't.... unless you run as administrator. I have tried (for test purposes) increasing a user level to admin, this doesnt work. The only way it works is having them as a standard user and entering administrator credentials. This of course isnt suitable.

The software does however run when logged in as a local user. I have uninstalled and re-installed with no luck.

Any ideas?

Try using Process Monitor to see what it's trying to access and grant standard users access (if appropriate)?

Have you checked if both devices have the same level of Windows updates applied?

But as FishCustard, which I was also going to suggest was use Process Monitor to see what exactly is blocked when they trying to run it.
