The Best Classroom Speakers you've put in are..

Recommendations for a good, sturdy classroom speaker system would be most welcomed! Any good suggestions?

We use the Sahara Wall Mounted Active Speakers (around £59). Good volume, good sound (not tinny) and very simple and fairly solid. They have one dial/button, you press it to turn it on/off and rotate it to change the volume. It also comes with a remote control as well.

 

Simple but effective.

Ah sorry, on checking they were different, more expensive speakers. very good though. The control panel is: https://cpc.farnell.com/apart/acpl/volume-control-local-input/dp/DP35359

 

again not cheap, but nice and easy for cabling and they are powered using a standard cat5 cable from the back of the speaker to the panel. You need a deep backbox/trunking though! Or a flexible Cat5 cable .

SAME, they come with the wall brackets as well, the new models have an infrared remote. They're loud and clear (not boomy) they were a godsend when we were still using mono vhs tapes from the 90's I pay £59 plus VAT from Hugh Symmons.

Nice and simple install and easy inputs for teachers. And yes, no need to lose the remote (IT can keep it for emergencies!)

We've gotten around this issue by putting the speakers sound through the projector, so the teacher can adjust the volume through the projector remote (less likely to get lost) We just leave the speakers always on with a set volume.

We've recently started using EV EVID-S5.2 in our smaller spaces, might be a good shout for anyone looking for high quality audio (music department etc).

We've gotten around this issue by putting the speakers sound through the projector, so the teacher can adjust the volume through the projector remote (less likely to get lost) We just leave the speakers always on with a set volume.

 

That works too - Issue we have with some of the powered speakers is after a power failure (Power cut etc) the active speakers sit at like.. 10% volume so if they've lost the remote we have to go and adjust them

Slightly OT but last September my local academy had an open evening for this years year 7 so the wife, daughter and myself went along to have a look and every projector was held on by zip ties.
