OFSM Online Free School Meals

I was wondering if anyone has had any experience of using the OFSM system? We are looking to get it for our school so I would interested in hearing of any good or bad reviews of the system.

We use it and our finance staff are pretty happy with it in terms of use and letting parents access funding they might not otherwise have applied for / known about.

 

I don't have a lot of involvement beyond the initial "make sure they're not doing stupid things with data & systems" due diligence. There's some whitelisting involved with spam filtering and I seem to recall a "oops, we didn't tell you about the other address our systems might send from" but other than that....

You might want to go through http://www.cloudforedu.org.uk when it comes up for renewal, they are the actual makers of the software and our quote was half that of Capita.

Was that part of a consortium of schools? I've just given them a nudge and they say they can't beat what we're currently paying unless it's 10+ schools. I'd be interested in seeing what you were quoted by Capita and Cloudforedu (via PM, so they don't get upset).

All SIMS schools are sent emails from [email protected] so this needs to be placed in the whitelist if the school has a particularly aggressive spam filter. Very occasionally r2-f2.sda-ltd.com needs to be added as well.

Does that mean you're willing to price match? Based on indicative pricing offered to other schools, you are not at all competitive.
