Turn Off Pen Flicks on Windows 10?

[bjohnny42]

Anyone know how we can turn off pen flicks on windows 10 for end users? Its making it really difficult for our Maths Department to use their super new Promethean interactive screens as instead of doing a nice quick plus sign the screen wants to go back or forward or use other gesture controls. The Group Policy Changes here https://getadmx.com/?Category=Windows_10_2016&Policy=Microsoft.Policies.TabletPCShell::PreventFlicks_2 seems to only work for Windows 7?

Or anyone know how to give users access to just the "Pen and Touch" section of the control panel? (I don't want them changing anything else)

User Configuration/Policies/Administrative Templates/Control Panel

Show only specified Control Panel items Enabled List of allowed Control Panel items Microsoft.PenAndTouch

Windows Components\Tablet PC\Pen UX Behaviors\Prevent flicks on 1703 or later https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/client-management/new-policies-for-windows-10 - I know we had issues with SMARTboards and the same thing, but Maths seem to be getting along alright now.

Were on LTSB 1609......... Damn,

So if anyone has any other ideas where this change is saved, it would be possible to just force that change so it is off....

So the solution that I came up with to disable the pen Flicks gestures from “Pen and Touch” on Windows 10.

We have added a registry entry to do this.

U - Reg Setting Pen Input No Flicks

Hive HKEY_CURRENT_USER

Key path Software\Microsoft\Wisp\Pen\SysEventParameters

Value name FlickMode

Value type REG_DWORD

Value data 0x0 (0)

Using Item Level Targeting to limit only members of the “Maths Staff” Group at this stage. (Not that I think anyone else is using it yet)

Attempts to get the correct element of the control panel to display were unsuccessful.

C:\Windows\System32\TabletPC.cpl (You need to have a display which is touch enabled for this to work)

If required there would be other options to control other pen input
