Hi,

Can someone offer some advise about this.

We have Sharp copiers that we used to scan to a onsite exchange server before I moved to the cloud. I've removed the onsite one now ready to go fully cloud but am struggling with the MFP settings.

I can't get direct scan to work so I made a IIS SMTP server which links to O365. I've got this working, if I drop an email into the SMTP pickup folder it sends it to me perfectly. If I go into the scanner and send an Email Status Report that comes through fine also but when I try and scan I get a bad email error on the SMTP server.

Diagnostic-Code: smtp;554 5.2.0 STOREDRV.Submission.Exception:SendAsDeniedException.MapiExceptionSendAsDenied; Failed to process message due to a permanent exception with message Cannot submit message.

I have tried delegating (found on a search) but that doesn't make sense as its the SMTP server that's connecting to the O365 server and just relaying. Don't understand why its working from the copier for the report and not from the scanning, they are sending from the same address.

Anyone offer advice?
