Sophos UTM Costs

Hi All,

 

Does anyone have any ball park figures for Sophos UTM? Is it sold on a per device or user basis?

 

We are a bunch of primary schools and i'd like to see if it's cost effective compared to a company offering the connection and a hosted firewall/filtering solution.

There is no ball park figure, they look at both the number of devices onsite and users, see image below if you can make it out clear?

 

 

This will then give you an idea of what UTM you require and then you can find out costs.

Hi Nathan, most of the Primary schools we work with have XG135 appliances, although this could be XG210 for a larger primary. The sizing illustration posted above is a good starting point.

 

We have a couple of different models, for some of our multi academy trusts we have centralised firewall and filtering, dedicated to that trust.

We use Sophos through Wave9 and couldn’t ask for better support. I would ask them for a quote to save guess work.
