discoveranother Posted January 20, 2019 Posted January 20, 2019 Hello Although i'm aware 2019 has been out a while now, I haven't yet installed it anywhere, I would just like to ask if anyone feels that 2019 is working well ? I am looking to transfer FSMO roles from a 2008R2 to a new server. Thanks all.
Jcx500 Posted January 21, 2019 Posted January 21, 2019 I've installed a few Vm's of 2019 seems to run well, although i am only using them to run a backup server and my helpdesk, haven't tested AD or anything like that but i am guessing it will be fine

Tefters Posted January 28, 2019 Posted January 28, 2019 (edited) Veeam have a fix for that read only backup issue, it’s on their forums. Also if you are updating to U4 and experience issues then log a support call as you have maintenance. I’m running U4 fine against VMware cluster. A few niggles with Windows Agents on 2 workstations but I believe that to be my fault as I haven’t updated the Agents in 2 years! EDIT - For the OP, I personally find Server 2019 to be more responsive then Server 2016, faster boot time that's for sure! At present, happy with 2019. Edited January 28, 2019 by Tefters

At present, happy with 2019. and you don't have to wait weeks for it to install windows updates either (...well, not yet. Give it a few years and it will probably end up like 2016)
