Haven't looked into it much but I've pushed out the Schoolcomms MSI to teacher PC's but they are getting a popup asking for admin rights to install a SIMS plugin

 

Was there something I missed or am I going to have to go around every PC to fix this ?

Thanks, just worked that out

 

For reference I put it on a server share and called it via a startup script

 

xcopy \\fileserver\application$\SchoolComms\iSchoolcommsSimsPlugin.dll "c:\Program Files (x86)\SIMS\SIMS .net\Plugins\PartnerLinks" /E /Z /Y /I

 

Weird way of doing things but hey ho, seems to work

We have the same issue at the moment, think its related to UAC

I'm not even able to get the schoolcomms msi to install at this point! :rolleyes:

 

I don't remember any issues with that, just a normal GPO software installation
