FN-GM Posted April 28, 2008 Posted April 28, 2008 hmm, if you run it in No-addon's mode does it do it then? Z
mikeymike Posted April 28, 2008 Author Posted April 28, 2008 hmm, if you run it in No-addon's mode does it do it then? Z do you mean disabling them if so how as there are loads of sites when open the manage add ons optons
FN-GM Posted April 28, 2008 Posted April 28, 2008 you can launch IE7 without any add-ons temporarily , if it doesn’t cause any problems in this mode it will most probably be an add-on causing the problem. Run it without add-ons you can find it here: Start > Programs > Accessories > System Tools> Internet Explorer (No Add-ons)
elsiegee40 Posted April 28, 2008 Posted April 28, 2008 Start with the obvious: Tools > Options Choose Delete (on the General tab) and Delete Temporary files and Cookies Then, choose Settings (also on the General tab) Uncheck "Open Home Page for new tabs..." This should ensure that it isn't trying to open any webpage for a new tab. Once you get the new tab, you can then try typing news.bbc.co.uk or whatever in the URL box to see if you can open it. If you can, try checking the Home Page Setting again.

FN-GM Posted April 28, 2008 Posted April 28, 2008 Yep certain things like Java will not work Now run IE 7 normally disable one add-on at a time until you find the problem add-on.
