Looking to purchase new tills. Do I have to get them from Biostore

We have a Biostore Fastrak system in place for our cashless catering system. It was decided when it was fitted last summer that we would keep the machines that were used as the Tills from the previous supplier. These are getting pretty old now though and not coping with the fast paced lunch run. So I'd like to replace them. I've spoken to Biostore and they want £1500 per new till, which I think is rather a lot. In essence, all the till is is a touch screen computer, and thus I was thinking of getting something a little cheaper. But just thought I'd see if anyone has had the same issue? Or advice about purchasing new tills.

We also looked at this, but you have to be careful about support and installation costs. We don't have the installation files so can't do it ourselves. Paying the provider to do it on our own hardware gives them the chance to recope lost earnings. IE they charge you an arm and a leg.

Installing Fastrak on a till is quick and easy.

You can request the files from BioStore.

 

The reason why the tills are expensive is because they support them for 5 years or something like that and guarantee that the software works on the till.

We did this 2 years ago so alot of things could have changed since then.
