Hi there. Like most places, we use a shared calendar. I've noticed today that if you select Week View, it only displays 4 calendar entries if they are set to All Day rather than having a time. As it only shows 4, it means that events are being missed. If you chose Month View, then its a lot better as you can click a day and have all the events listed to the right of the screen. But not everyone thinks of that though. Has anyone else come across this? And do you know how to change the settings so more events are displayed? Thanks

Sorry, asked my friend google what that exe would do. Good idea, but I'm concerned that it won't do anything about the primary device still being the additonal display device. When someone puts the machine into Extended mode, the monitor won't have the main desktop displayed?

I use Microsoft Deployment Tool. What exactly would that command do though? I'd still be able to use 2 displays right?

Hi there Has anyone else found a problem with Windows 10 machines when they have 2 display devices connected up? In each classroom I have a static desktop with a pc monitor connected as well as either a short throw projector or touchscreen device. I re imaged all my machines in the summer with Win 10 Pro 1903, and noticed now that everyone of them thinks that the projector or touchscreen, is the primary display device. This means that when you power on the desktop machine, you just get a black screen on the monitor as the computer defaults to Extended display mode and the main display is on the other device. Even if its switched off though. Its caused a lot of problems with the teachers who obviously don't have the sense to turn their projector on and change the computer to duplicate mode. Is there any way to stop this? I haven't been able to find a way to change the priority in the windows display settings. I did find an option on the computers graphics card display settings. But when I changed them round, the touchscreen capability got disabled. Anyone else noticed this issue? Thanks

Hi there We have a Biostore Fastrak system in place for our cashless catering system. It was decided when it was fitted last summer that we would keep the machines that were used as the Tills from the previous supplier. These are getting pretty old now though and not coping with the fast paced lunch run. So I'd like to replace them. I've spoken to Biostore and they want £1500 per new till, which I think is rather a lot. In essence, all the till is is a touch screen computer, and thus I was thinking of getting something a little cheaper. But just thought I'd see if anyone has had the same issue? Or advice about purchasing new tills. Thanks

Thanks but not a massive fan of chromebooks. Struggled in the past to get a wireless connection. I'd also like to be able to allow access to the students home directories. We're a long way from going into the cloud yet and these will be used mostly by students who struggle so something nice and simple and familiar to the schools desktop machines would be better.

Hi there I've been asked to source a new device to replace some of our aging AlphaSmarts. I've been looking at various tablets and notebooks but just thought I'd ask and see if anyone has some suggestions? At first I thought about getting a Linx tablet in. But I've had 2 now, 1 for personal use, and found both to be very poorly designed and ended up sending them back. Had Geo Flux from Currys on trial and ended up purchasing one to test. Its ok although the CPU is maxed out when opening Edge. Ideally I'm after a windows device that I can connect to my domain and manage. That will run office and a web browser, and maybe impero, but that's about it. So if you have any advice for devices you use in your school, then that would be great. Thanks

Oh I would love to have CCTV in place or even staff that support me, but unfortunately I don't have either. I believe in the past, CCTV was put in place but it was an older system with visible cables and thus it got ripped out by students. That's what I'm dealing with here I'm afraid. That and the fact that my budget has been halved again for the third year running, I'm not likely to get any backing for CCTV. The unbreakable mice that Hills had available were around £2 per device and had buttons that were not easy to get finger nails under and break. So I thought I'd ask if anyone can recommend something similar. If not then I'll go back to buying the cheapest one I can find from amazon or somewhere.

Hi there Just wondering if anyone has any advice on a suitable mouse that can be used in a school and that is not easy to break. Everyday I find myself replacing a mouse somewhere in my school due to damage from a student, and the teachers and leadership team, just don't care. I managed to get a pretty decent, virtually unbreakable mouse from Hills Components last year, but unfortunately they've gone into administration. So I'm just wondering if anyone can recommend anything that might last a little longer. Thanks

Well they cost nearly £2K each, plus the cost for the upgrade. So make me an offer really. But message me if you prefer.

Hi there. Just before the summer term ended we moved our cashless catering systems from Cunninghams to Biostore. At this point, my school decided to go completely cashless. Therefore I have 5 reval/ cash loaders that I don't need anymore. 4 out of the 5 have had the new £1 and £5 note upgrades done to them by Cunninghams. The 5th machine hasn't as it was kept as a spare machine in storage. All 5 are in full working order. A few marks are each but no damage. Anyone need any more? Looking to get rid of them so open to offers here before trying on Ebay. PM me if your interested. Thanks

Ah sorry to hear that Abutters. Interactive displays are expensive though. Considering its normally death by powerpoint in some schools too. Thanks for sharing pooley. They seem great value for money compared to other brands.

Hi. I met Prowise at the Bett show briefly as well and was very impressed. Thinking of purchasing 10 boards during the summer so just wondered how you got on? Did you get one in April? Thanks
