Computer to Student Ratios

Hello, I am trying to get a feel for the kind of computer numbers we should be trying to provide for the number of (secondary school incl sixth form) students we have. I imagine we need to look at student accessible computers in IT and open access rooms, disregarding the 'teachers' computer in each classroom. I have read the government has removed the requirement but can anyone advise on some figures.

We have 1,600 students and with that just under 700 PCs and 130 laptops.

1450 students, 650 computers (mostly desktop PC's, 5 banks of laptop trolleys - 120 laptops total)
