@Koldov For OVS licences it is correct that it's not a qualifiyng purchase. However, Pro Plus on OVS entitles you to the Pro Plus on Office 365 for no cost anyway. Your licencing partner should be able to assist the two are linked, and then just assign the licence from Office 365 to the user's account.

Why is it so complicated?!

 

So, even though we have a license agreement to cover Microsoft Office, we also have to have an O365 account to put Word on an iPad...

 

I have gone through everything I need to do in order to create the free O365 tenant for my school and added the Headteacher as a user.

 

He has downloaded the Word app on his iPad pro from the app store, but when he signs in to the O365 account I made for him it tells him that he doesn't have permission to create documents.

 

It also doesn't show in the O365 Admin Center that he has installed it on any device...

 

Can anyone please tell me why?

 

Two things you can do, change your headteacher or ask him to just cope with read only word on iPad and if he really wants to work on the go, you should have bought him a MacBook, at least he should have known. ipad Apps are cloud based as you cannot store any documents offline on iPads (no storage option) and for that you need some sort of cloud account. Also these productivity apps are really hard to work/use as the screen size is too small when onscreen keyboard takes almost half the screen unless you have an iPad Pro 12+”.

 

On a contrary, the headteacher might want to implement cloud based services for everyone which should have been a strategy implementation and not I want this and that.
