Evening all,

Has anyone used or seen a self service device or system to allow users to reset their AD password?

Would be great to minimise foot traffic in the office.

Thanks

ManageEngine have a tool and it even puts a link you can run from the login screen before you login and users are able to reset their passwords.

We have teachers reset the student passwords. We use password control and delegate rights in AD. Best way to sell it to SLT is that students won't have to leave the classroom so the impact on T&L is minimised.

There is a self-service password reset faculty built into Azure AD. Couple that with password write back in Azure AD Connect and you’re laughing.

MIM has an SSPR portal, or as I have said before round these parts a mailbox and powershell can give you the ability to at least allow your staff to reset student passwords. Also as @Norphy has said Azure has this ability (for a small fee!)...

I think you need to be on 1803 to be able to do SSPR from the logon screen. All your PCs need to be hybrid joined to AzureAD.

Yep. That's all mentioned in my write up at the link I included above. None of it is that difficult to set up either, though it's poorly documented by MS and some of the settings that SSPR from login uses conflict with some of the settings that we might typically set in education around login screen.
