Online staff absence request platform for schools

Hi, quick question. We are looking to move our (school) staff absence request process online, the current paper system is archaic and no longer fit for purpose. We need something that can link to SIMS so the absence request goes to the initial line manager, and once that has been agreed then goes to the deputy head, which then goes to the cover manager. Can anyone recommend a platform which can enable staff to fill in an online form which then goes to relevant staff members for sign off?

We used Google forms but that won’t link to SIMS. The bursar used it to chase up the sign off. The cover manager can be notified of the request by Google forms

SAM ( https://www.capita-sims.co.uk/products-and-services/SAM ) is one of our Capita partner products and is an online staff absence management system. It includes an Employee Portal with the functionality for employees to request absence online including annual leave and leave of absence, via a secure login. The request then generates an email that goes to their line manager for consideration. Once the absence request is approved by the manager, the details go straight into SAM’s employee section, which can then write-back directly into SIMS. The platform can also have multiple levels of responsibility set up for the approval process, so if you need to add the deputy head for example you can do so. Finally, at the request stage there is the option for the employee to select if cover is required and a notification can then be sent to the cover manager. Hope this helps.
