chazzy2501 Posted November 21, 2018 Posted November 21, 2018 (edited) This is an odd one, one member of staffs email messages are not showing up on anothers outlook 2013 or online Outlook on 365. I've tried focused inbox, resetting the view, checked for odd rules. and I'm out of ideas. if we perform a search for the sender user on the inbox of the receiver and the emails appear, otherwise they do not? Unread or read.... The default is all, they do not appear. This is the same on the online office 365 outlook as well... to be clear, the emails are arriving, a search shows them, but they do not show normally. Ideas? Mako Posted November 21, 2018 Posted November 21, 2018 Are your e-mails set to be viewed as conversations? Conversations bunch the e-mails into a single chain, meaning you see the latest one and have to open the chain to see them.
chazzy2501 Posted November 21, 2018 Author Posted November 21, 2018 no, conversation view wasn't the culprit.
foofighterjim Posted November 21, 2018 Posted November 21, 2018 Not sure if it depends on the age of the Mailbox given you mentioned turning off Focused Inbox but have you checked the Clutter folder / settings?
bald_pig Posted November 21, 2018 Posted November 21, 2018 in the file menu on Outlook 2013, you can see what folder the email is going to, it may be getting filtered:
MatthewL Posted November 21, 2018 Posted November 21, 2018 Check there inst a filtered view on the folder you are look in. When you do a search mark it as unread and see if it stands out, also select the column to see which folder it is in in case it has been moved. Might also be worth using a search folder to find mail based on the criteria you are setting and filtering it that way to help find it.
chazzy2501 Posted November 21, 2018 Author Posted November 21, 2018 ok using message trace I've found that a rule is moving them to a folder.... That's it "a folder" a folder with no name. This looks like an incomplete rule is being applied. I checked their rules folder and it has only 1 rule for another purpose and it checked out ok.
