Anyone recommend a laser cutter?

Hi.

 

I'm looking for recommendations for a laser cutter.

 

There are a couple of posts about this, but they are a few years old now and I'm wondering if things have moved on. One thead recommends HPC, but I've just seen this thread http://www.edugeek.net/forums/hardware/194000-hpc-ls6090-pro-edition-laser-cutter-software-issue.html which puts me off.

 

Also, if anyone can recommend a 3D printer too?

 

I would say ease of use is my main concern for both. Recommendations for 2018?

I actually managed to get ours to work on Win 10 without admin rights (Lasercut 5.3), no idea how on earth I managed it as I tried and gave up several times in the past. Besides the software issue not really had any major issues with the cutter itself.
