Backup to Cloud Options

We are looking to change Backup providers and I was wondering where people would be willing to share who they use, How much space they are given as well as how much they pay so I have a few options.

We currently backup local file servers and an Exchange Server to AWS, costing around £120 a month. That's around 4TB of files and getting on for a TB of mailboxes being backed up with grandfather / father / son backups.

We use Azure backup for files, sql and system state. About £20 a month with up to 7 years retention

RedStore is one I've seen used before.

 

I'm also on the look out for an online option to backup 2TB of data, currently on my PC and a NAS but wanting something offsite. No servers just pure data to be sync'd up.

Another vote for Azure. Plus you get access to Azure Backup Server (DPM) which allows up to 30 days of local backups for no extra cost.

After trawling through some backup threads last week, I decided to give Duplicati a go for incremental file backups. Works well internally, we don't currently have a cloud-based backup solution but it can sync to a cloud service, so I set up a SharePoint to which only a backup account could access and ran a test backup. Seems to work quite well, and would recommend as a free solution. With 5PB of storage on SharePoint the possibilities are limited only by one's upload speed.

 

Once it runs to your liking, export the job config so you can restore data from another server should the host server fail. I like to keep costs down and I'm impressed by it so far.

 

Obviously not as robust as paid-for solutions but still, impressed.
