Firewall Suggestions

As the title suggests I'm looking for a cheap and cheerful hardware firewall to use with a VM Fttc line we are having installed. This is purely for our online backups to use so nothing too fancy is required.

 

What would you lot recommend ?

PFsense is free. Just need some hardware to run it on.

Slightly less cheap, but still cheerful - you could opt for a Sophos XG with base licence and use it to load balance your other WAN link, shape traffic, remote access etc?

We're running two of these at remote sites connecting via IPSec VPN. They work fine.

I loved my Sophos XG's when we used them up until 6 months ago and I would happily recommend them if you need more advanced features like web filtering etc.

 

pfSense is the way to go if you want something cheap (free) that would fall under being a typical firewall product.

Always gone meraki on our customer sites, not the cheapest but so easy to manage from an MSP perspective
