Shadow_Walker Posted October 13, 2018 Posted October 13, 2018 A friend of mine needs a computer which will handle 3ds max with ease. His budget is around £1000. He has been told now that an i7 will be better than a xeon processor. Not sure where to start on this one so any help appreciated.

It may be worth cross checking consumer versions and seeing how others have got on. That's what I'd do, with something like an RX580 or GTX1060 6GB (which may be better due to Iray support).
