Where Do You Order Your Stuff From?

Insight have a schools discount of (I think) cost + 4%, and deliver next day free. Unless it's something unusual, we use them for most things now because other people just can't compete.

I generally tend to check the prices on PCWB.com | Laptops, Desktop PC's, Printers, Projectors & More (prices are cheaper than advertised once you log in) and then get a quote. Once I have one I then use this to check around to see who can better it. The reason being is that all the orders I have had quoted for from pcwb.com have rarely been beaten.

IC Technology - for Dell dekstops/laptops/servers, pricing is good and you can actually speak to your account manager rather than leave 10 voicemails!

for most items I tend to chop and change between Insight and Misco

I tend to use Misco and Insight here - have used Insight for a couple of consumable orders lately with no issues.

 

I have just received 12 PC's from Stone and they are pretty decent spec for the price so I may be ordering more from Stone into the future if they are any good.

 

I forgot to mention either Ramesys, Insight or Pugh for our licences / software.

Hey all,

I've started a new job a primary school & been there three weeks. I've been asked by the school to find quotes for PC & Network etc, the school isnt allowed to order anything online so it has to be paper order?! (I KNOW) If you now any good places to order please let me know?

Most IT companies like ourselves receive purchase orders from schools, which is paid within 30 days.

 

Most schools I know do this and generally don't purchase online upfront, they may do quote online then paperwork is then faxed to the school
