Popular Post HodgeHi Posted April 24, 2008 Popular Post Posted April 24, 2008 Hi all. I have just seen this on AFP548. It is a new AD-OD paper that is quite simple to follow and is an interesting read. It differs from the previous one as it also goes through the AD side of things and contains a fair amount of screen shots as well. It has also been updated for 10.5. The file also includes a VBS script to import users from a CSV file and a .BAT file to configure DNS.AD-OD Sandbox.zip 7
FN-GM Posted July 15, 2008 Posted July 15, 2008 Please can someone repost the attachment, it doesnt seem to be working now thanks
FN-GM Posted July 15, 2008 Posted July 15, 2008 must be my AV blocking something in it, what is in the zip?

MarkB Posted October 3, 2008 Posted October 3, 2008 Just followed the instructions, whic hhave worked fine upto the point where you set the client up, It adds open directory fine but I don't get an Active directory entry in the search path page.
HodgeHi Posted October 3, 2008 Author Posted October 3, 2008 The AD may not be enabled. Open Directory utility and go to Services. If this cannot be seen choose show advanced settings. make sure that there is a tick in the enabled box.
MarkB Posted October 6, 2008 Posted October 6, 2008 It wasn't enabled, so I enabled it and removed and re added the open directory, but still no Active directory in the search path.
superdooley Posted October 6, 2008 Posted October 6, 2008 Maybe I am doing something wrong, but when I download and extract the file, all I get is a single file called [Content]. Which I can't seem to open on a pc or a mac, any ideas?
babalojaan Posted August 11, 2010 Posted August 11, 2010 thats a good guide but old. i followed on 10.6.4 and it didnt worked
LostOracle Posted May 16, 2011 Posted May 16, 2011 Thank you for a clear, concise document. The screen shots are always a valuable addition
slancaster Posted July 10, 2015 Posted July 10, 2015 should this still be a sticky? seems out of date...
Arthur Posted June 12, 2018 Posted June 12, 2018 seems out of date... +1. No one should be doing it this way any more (especially not in 2018!).
