Chromebooks are being asked for - I'm a total newbie, help!

Do your pupils have GSuite email? How do you set it up with 2 different servers to delivery mail to? subdomains or passthrough, or secret 3rd option?

Teachers have Office 365 used for teacher to teacher.

 

Teachers and Pupils have Google accounts for classroom, teacher to pupil, and pupil to pupil.

 

They're two separate systems, and I have not linked them in any way. Generally, you'll find all my teachers have office365 open on one tab and google open on another and if they want to send an email to a member of staff they use the ofice365 tab, and if they want to do some classroom stuff they use the google tab. It seems to work well to be honest and despite a few of us brainstorming whether we could get rid of office 365 I think we will stick with it as it is for now as the physical separation between staff communication is a positive.

As of April 2018, G Suite now supports custom directories so that's one less reason to use Office 365.

As a G Suite administrator, you can control who a user sees in their work directory by creating custom directories. Use these directories to limit who users can find in autocomplete lists and searches, as well as whose profiles they can see.

 

For example, you might create a directory that full-time employees can access and a different directory for temp workers.

On 2 different domains? I have accounts setup on both with 1 domain, but email only works on one because that's the one with the MX record

Sorry yes, two different domains. office365 is on sch.uk as it's more official for staff use. Google is on a .org as it doesn't really mater what the domain is for that.
