Ipad boxes - what do you do with them

We've accumulated a lot of ipad boxes over the last few years and I was just wondering whether anyone has done anything with theirs or if they've just been binned / recycled. I've had a quick look on ebay and they do sell (like anything with an apple sticker does) but not sure it's worth the effort

 

Any thoughts?

Depends what you do with your old iPads. I know a second hand iPad is worth a lot more if you still have the box. Might be useful if you decide to sell them on rather than put them out to waste.

I’ve sold them (and phone boxes) on eBay. One iphone 4 box went to Italy! It’s easier to do them as Buy It Now and charge extra for postage.

 

It depends if you can be bothered with posting them.

 

RoyalMail online postage helps so the only reason you visit the post office is to drop the packages off. Rubble sacks make great packaging sealed with parcel tape - you could probably wrap 3 or 4 with one sack.

we have somewhere around 100 so listing and posting them individually through ebay could be a chore, but better than just binning as seems a waste. I was thinking of possibly doing a job lot but then posting could be an issue. could resellers / repairers / refurbishers be interested in them? or Am I unlikely to get rid of them in one go

I tend to keep them on a bookcase in the office until a few days before the next batch arrive then bin them, when we’re deploying to staff I mix empty boxes with full boxes and make it appear as though we’re pulling their iPads out at random

 

Hadn’t thought about selling them and unfortunately we got rid of the paper recycling when the council stopped collecting it(despite still charging us for it...) so it all goes into general waste :/

We had around 100 a while back and ended up giving them to early years as they always love stuff for crafting. Last time I was in there they were using them as bricks to build towers!

Ideally I'd save them for winter, then have a nice big bonfire in the grounds (with marshmallows and everything!), but the Facilities Manager won't let me. Something about 'smoke control zones' and 'approach path to Heathrow Airport'. So we just recycle them.

I use them to store spare parts in - they're nice and sturdy and stack well on a shelf.
