The switch one end of the fibre was killed by a powercut and replaced. the switch the other end of the fibre went a couple months later and is being replaced. any suggestions?
Michael Posted April 21, 2008 Posted April 21, 2008 What would you like me to suggest? Are you after a switch recommendation?

Geoff Posted April 21, 2008 Posted April 21, 2008 Also consider putting your switches on UPS. That way they will be protected from power surges and similar problems.
bio Posted April 22, 2008 Posted April 22, 2008 IF you have alot of cash then buy another fibre between your building. Make sure the new fibre is NOT in the same pipe as your old one. After that plug the second fibre in your network and config STP on your switches to avoid loops bio..
