2 x IT Technician- Independent School- Salisbury, Hants - £27k, closing 15/08

Great Opportunity for 1 x IT Technician, salary up to £22k and a Senior IT Technician, salary up to £27k for an Independent School in Salisbury.

Duties and responsibilities:

 

• Provide 1st and 2nd line on-site technical support to a designated School during term time.
  
• Communicate with school staff and appointed manager regularly. Review the ICT requirements of the school and make sure the IT services meet their needs on teaching, learning and administration.
  

 

• Ensure the ICT systems, equipment and monitoring alerts are in good condition. Troubleshoot, resolve or escalate onsite issues when required
  
• Manage tickets and requests in a professional and timely manner through helpdesk system within service-level agreement (SLA). Ensure they are logged, responded, prioritised, recorded, solved and users are updated. If the ticket need to be escalated, make sure detailed information is provided

• Windows Server 2012, 2016 management, Active Directory and Group Policies.
  
• Manage schools Virtual server farm.
  
• Equipment installation, repair and replacement including Computers, Laptops, Printers, AV Equipment, Digital Signage and Projectors
  
• Maintain and update of Systems, School applications, CCTV, Permissions and Access, Filtering, Parent Portals, User Anti-Virus alerts, Websites/Intranet, BYOD, MDM, Data restoration and Back-Ups etc.
  
• Maintain the school’s IT records, for example, Password Records, Stock Control, Change Control Records, Active Directory User Accounts, Door Entry/Signing in System User Records, Asset Management/Inventory (Hardware and Software), E-mail Account provision etc.
  
• Reimaging devices, finding missing or updated drivers where required
  
• Liaise with third party software and service providers where required
  
• Attend the training provided and commit to comply the Health and Safety, Safeguarding the welfare of children and young people and Quality and Security. And report anything that may cause potential issues
  

Personal Qualifications and experience:

 

• Knowledge and experience on Windows Server management, Microsoft Office, Desktop Operating Systems and Troubleshooting
  
• Commit to provide high quality customer services.
  
• Good communication skills
  
• Well-organised and good time management skills
  
• Able to work under pressure and tight schedule
  
• Experience of iOS device and Chromebook deployment or Educational Software is desirable
  
• Good sense of Health and Safety. Commit to safeguarding the welfare of children and young people
  
• Enhanced DBS check is required
