The Centauro robot consists of a four-legged base and an anthropomorphic upper body. It is capable of performing robust locomotion and harsh interactions that may be necessary during disaster relief tasks. It is also able to break wood pieces.

Is it perhaps a sign of how far we've come that it, sorry to say, doesn't look *that* impressive? I'd be more impressed if it was put up against a scenario you'd see in common disaster relief; no walkable/driveable terrain, materials far bulkier than those demonstrated etc. I mean lifting that 6kg block... it looked REALLY uneasy doing that, as if it was about to drop it. And bits of wood that size aren't likely to be an issue in any disaster scenario...
