Facility CMIS Standalone Machine?

Hi all

 

First time post - I hope you can help. Does any one have an easy to follow guide to producing a copy of facility cmis on a stand alone machine? Our time tabler want to play at home with an offline version - fully featured but using just a copy of our data. I've been told its easy to do, but I cant find any information on how to achieve it.

Have a look on the advanced support site as there is instructions on how to do this. I would pass a copy of the file but don’t have access anymore, as we moved to Bromcom in April. You will need a copy of the schools license key.

@Dramaschool it is easy to do, though I would be careful with taking the entire mis database off site. On a school owned encrypted laptop no problem. Installed on the timetablers home PC is a different problem with GDPR etc. Do you have access to advanced support? There used to be a very good guide on this. I suggest installing sql rather than. Msaccess if you want to test extracting and intergrating from scheduler...

If you are still having trouble with a standalone install then PM me as I have some useful documentation for you. We install a standalone version to test the upgrade prior to applying to the live facility install.

I used to do this all the time, SQL Express and restore the Databases following the standard "how to install CMIS" guide off of advanced learning.

 

Just do the sensible thing and follow the security advice of robk
