It's funny isn't it.....a business manager on 40k and/or a head on 65k probably dreamt that figure up....and actually thought it was acceptable for someone to work for that wage.

 

They probably thought, well there has to be really really $%^&poorly paid workers to offset our astronomical salaries.

Hi Girls

I am casting for a final female dancer , Height 5”6 -5”8 For a 3 month Baltic Cruise with a cast of 10 , the show is an icedance spectacular . Please note dancers are not required to skate .

 

Rehearsals are in Newcastle , 29th of April till 11Th of May , fly 15th or 16th first show 17th of May .For rehearsals you will receive a £30 travel allowance , your accom, lunch , tea and coffee , £3.50 a day food allowance .

 

The contract is for 3 months , the ship itinerary is Stockholm, to Talin in Estonia , you sail at night and get off the ship every day , you will have a shared cabin with an other male , and the ship is a dry ship( which means officially there is no drinking on board) , you will learn 2 different 30 min shows , one show a night with one number as a taster . Duties are minimal, embarkation, which is done in costume so no need for uniform and in rotation between the cast Ie once every 5 days and a fashion show , for doing the fashion show you receive 50% discount in the duty free. Your wage is 40 euro a day - 10% agency commission .

All costumes except tan fish nets and tan heals will be provide for you.

I think schools have to work to council guidelines regarding salaries. There is usually room for minor negotiation though.

 

Nope. A school has complete independence when it comes to support staff pay. However, they are encouraged to stick to the guidelines (ie. the councils beat the school with sticks should they not).
