£95 for a Aruba Management password change. No wonder schools have no money this is basically a ten second job and someone is charging us £95 quid to change it, so we can have access to the system. Is this a standard charge because I feel like it is day light robbery. How can they charge this much.

Put it another way, you run your own company supplying a service/product would you do it for free?

I know some places do charge quite a bit for something so small but its business. Call out charge for Miele to look at your kitchen appliance is nearly £200 I believe before they have even looked at it.

yeah I know what you mean about it been a business, I wouldn't do it for free but something that only take literally 10 seconds to do £95 is bit steep. If someone asked to change the password on the active directory would you charge them for two mouse clicks and a few taps on a keyboard?. Also they are in a contract to so surely this should be included?.

All depends what is set out in the contract and what is agreed and what is classed as extra. Alot of places will follow this to the dot to the point if its not listed they won't even talk to you.

I’ve run a business and could make that decision now to charge for that. But it makes no sense. It’s not how we go about business. It’s 5 minutes of my/somebody’s time (tops) but earns more goodwill (and no ill will) if I do it at no cost.

Dammit I spent an unplanned afternoon in a cupboard re patching a cabinet yesterday. I better earn some goodwill for that [emoji23] I certainly lost a few pounds!!!

If the school has signed up to this terms you can't really complain.

That's just it there is nothing in the terms that defines this cost for changing a password.

In that case I can understand the frustration.
