Hi all,

I'm just beginning to roll out Win10 1709 Edu and am getting sysprep errors.... I think relating to provisioned apps.

Sysprep errors thus:

You can be lazy, delete the account, the profile from the machine and then it will sysprep.

Obviously you'll need to create anoher admin account first.

Basically no apps can have been clicked on any account before a sysprep

if you have deployed a reference machine from MDT/SCCM you would have run or changed the machine using Administrator or have you done it using just a normal account which you created yourself after installing the OS.

TBH id remove the garage apps from the wim before hand so they are physically not present to be installed.

No, I've cold installed this machine from an ISO into a VM and am trying to sysprep it to add to WDS... so normal account created at install.

ive had this problem when i did my windows 10 sysprep.

you need to unprovision / remove "ActiproSoftwareLLC.562882FEEB491_3.2.28.0_x64__24p qs290vpjk0" from your machine

@SHimmer45 I'm running that right now and sysprep is still failing.

I've removed all provisioned apps using the command above. The sysprep error log still shows an error for the Xbox app although when I Get- the list of provisioned apps it tells me it isn't installed.

I'm stuck.

if you get-appxpackage and then get appxprovisioned package are there differences in the list.

as it sounds like the app has been removed from "provisioned" but not from the user account i think

Yep. I'm thinking ditch 1709 and go for LTSB instead. The feature release versions of Win10 are super infuriating me already. I can't be doing with this MS dung every day.

2 days wasted on installing a machine I can't image. :mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

Thank SHimmer45

I need this running asap for some machines I cant run Win 7 on, hence my frustration. I'm late to the game and I haven't got time to play with 10 sufficiently.

LTSB for these now... then when I have time I'll be looking at which is better for a whole school rollout.

Nothing I've tried on the 'net is helping with the machine I've already built.

The best way is to run a powershell script when the image is applied. Then you just have to remove-appxprovisionedpackage. It's best to just install office in your image. Maybe Adobe CC or any other large pieces of software. #saynotoltsc

i recon you will be sticking with LTSB if you know your not going to need the "extras".

We don't need the extras here. No plans for surface pro's. And I don't want that start menu anyway.
