I have 2 Factor Auth set up, so I'm confident my account is not getting compromised.

They never tell me why it is getting blocked they or it jus magically remedies it self after 24-48 hours.

Funny thing is I can still access from the gmail app on me phone but no access from any browser on any PC at all.

Plus the fact trying to get hold of any human at google seems impossible and given the advert and spam carp I've started moving to a paid service with my personal web site hosting provider.

You're not falling fowl of the "insecure apps" setting are you?

I couldn't log in with Outlook for months, then I started digging and found a setting in Google to prevent unsecure apps connecting - Google never warns you why it didn't accept login, it just ignores it.

Thanks @howartp

I have a few app passwords set, most of my home alerts which I think may be causing the issue go via another non-gMail account into google but as I've recently put a mailbox on the other email account I might stop the forwarder to gMail.

I initially had an internal email relay at home as certain hardware/software does not support email authentication i.e. vCenter. But had to point this to the other non-gMail account as I could not setup the app password with a space in it :-( .
