fiza Posted June 13, 2018 Posted June 13, 2018 We have a fleet of Chromebooks that are centrally held and booked out by Teachers. Occasionally we will come across a Chromebook that has been returned damaged. The G suite Admin Console gives very little information about who used the Chromebook last. I have come across Chrome Gopher and wonder if anyone else was using it. Is it worth the $250 per year subscription?

It can also show utilisation by OU which is a great way of showing how much chromebooks are being used per department area. Also made it really easy to update the asset details for each device when enrolling.

G suite Admin Console already tells me the most recent users of a Chromebook but if I wanted to find out at what time a user logged into the Chromebook and what time he logged out will Chrome gopher tell me that?

So you will know log in times and reference that to a user? Yes it can but those coming from Chromebooks it doesn't specify the device used.

Chrome Gopher Premium is new and includes the Gopher Buddy extension that you would need to push to all your users. Then you can view timestamps and specific logon info including ip address, username, and session length. limawhiskey Posted June 18, 2018 Posted June 18, 2018 I found that the standard Chrome Gopher does not give you any more information than is available in the admin console, though it does aggregate it nicely into a spreadsheet for you. So unless you go premium, no you don't get log in / out times, just a list of session times and a corresponding list of most recent users.
