[sims] Problem with pupil and staff address

Hi, this is my first post and I hope I’m posting this in the right forum!!

 

We have a recently come across a problem where a member of SLT and pupil live in the same block of flats and it looks as though their house numbers have transposed on SIMS somehow. Has anyone else come across anything similar or got any ideas please?? Thanks.

Never had this. I live on the same road as a load of kids and nothing like this has happened. It should never happen as both staff and students are separate objects in the database. I think someone in admin has made a boo boo.

They have probably picked the address from the matched list rather than creating a new one, if you edit one and the other one changes this is what happened. To resolve it you will have to delete the address from one record and add the address again making sure that you pick "New" to create a new record.

You can also resolve this by using move address.

 

When you enter the new (same address), you will see a prompt asking if you want to move all people linked at the address, deselect those that do not live together.
