[mdt] LiteTouch install failing

Hi everyone,

 

I've built a 1803 golden image and captured it through MDT, which worked fine. However, when I go to deploy the OS in a task sequence, I get the following error: `Litetouch Deployment Failed, return code = -2147467259 0x80004005`.

 

It only happens on 1803 images. I've rebuilt the image with the same error message when deploying. I've tried in a VM and on a physical machine. I've tried setting a static IP address and using just DHCP. Still no luck.

 

I've still got the 1709 ADK installed, would that possibly be the issue?

have you updated your boot image and MDT? I had a similar thing with deploying 8 years back and a few updates and new PXE boot image solved it.

From my own experiences with W10 and MDT you need to have the matching ADK and MDT for the version you are deploying.

Id update both and try again

+1. It's the same with SCCM and Microsoft recommend doing the same too.

I'll try installing the new ADK and I will regenerate the boot image and see how I get on.
