We recently reimaged some PCs, however, unfortunately, since reinstalling RM Maths, the software launches fine, but we are then presented with the following error message upon selecting a pupil’s name.

Project exception subuser not found

Cause: ReadSubUserFromFile: no file

The computers are running Windows 10 Education 64 bit.

I’m hoping that you may be able to help, as it’s quite a heavily used piece of software in the school, and the pupils are missing being able to use it!

I'm obviously aware that it is a very old piece of software, and has been unsupported for a long time, however, if I can get it working again, then that would be fab.

Otherwise I will just get RM to quote me on their web based version.

Obviously if anyone has any other suggestions for similar software or web sites, then I'd welcome them too.

There's a name from the past that gives me shudders....

It'll probably be something to do with the database, either the clients need to be pointed to it, or the permissions are wrong on the database location.

Have you had it working on Windows 10 before? Not sure I've seen that one working beyond 7 myself.

Hehe, yes, I know what you mean :D

It was working prior to us reimaging them.

I can only assume that someone did something specific to configure it to work, and I just haven't spotted it yet.

Either that, or it just doesn't like the latest fully updated build of Windows 10.

Either way, I've suggested to the school to have a look at the web version if they do still wish to use RM Maths.
