Google Classroom / GDPR / Consent

Hi all,

 

A quick question....

 

Can we use Google Classroom with our students (11-16 school) without specific parental consent (under new GDPR guidelines?)

 

I cannot seem to get a straight answer anywhere...what else do you currently do...or are planning to do in your school with GDPR??

We have always got parents to sign a consent form for G Suite ever since we first starting using it. Never had any refusers.

We just list it in our Privacy Notice as a service we share data with. Processing under Legal Obligation to educate the child and we are choosing to use Google to do this.
