Location: East London

Salary: £26,865 - £28,440 + travel allowance (approx. £100 per month)

GreatFind Recruitment is working with an established Education Trust who provide services to Schools in the Hackney area. This role will be working on technical support both remotely in their headquarters in North East London, as well as onsite support to their clients in and around that area. You will visit regularly to the client’s sites for scheduled maintenance and specific incidents that cannot be resolved remotely. You will also be an escalation point, and delivery the high standard of services. DBS clearance is required. Apply now.

 

Duties and responsibilities:

 

· Receive, log, response and document requests for support from help desk, service delivery team and users for tickets for internal staff and clients. Plan, schedule and monitor own work, and make sure requests are being follow-up and in progress, and resolved in a high level of standard and procedures

· Investigate issues and requests to ensure appropriate solution are applied. Escalate issue when necessary

· Provide basic training to users, and consultative advice to them on systems, products and services, enhancement, operating procedures and systems improvement

· Responsible for installation, configuration, upgrading, maintenance and troubleshooting of hardware, software, curriculum network’s desktop images, anti-virus, email accounts etc. Monitor systems by regular reports and take further action to prevent potential issues

· Build up good, long-term relationship with clients and third parties. Aim to achieve the goals of excellent customer care, value for money and great performance

· Provide an effective interface between users and service providers by monitoring the progress of requests for support and ensure users and other interested parties are kept informed.

· Keep up to date with the industrial news and continuous learning and developing professional skills

· Follow the Health and Safety policy and arrangements, and the Equality and Diversity policy

· Promote and safeguard the welfare of children, young and vulnerable people

· Tasks assigned by the Line Manager

 

Personal Qualifications and experience:

 

Essential

· Experience of technical documentation (create and maintain), Supporting Windows (XP, 7), Windows Server (2003, 2008)

· Experience on meeting Service Level Agreements (SLA)

· Understanding and committing to health and safety and Equal Opportunities at workplace

· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

· Analytical and methodical, a good problem-solver and able to manage resources effectively

· Credible, resilient, creative, with strong sense of purpose

· Have a UK full driving licence and your own vehicle

 

Desirable

· Degree or Equivalent

· MCSA Server Infrastructure / ACSP (Apple Certified Support Professional) / CCNA / ITIL Foundation certificate or equivalent

· Experience of providing technical support to schools

· Work knowledge Design, configuration, and support of anti-virus solutions.

· Experienced in supporting Windows 8, Windows Server (2008 R2 and 2012, security implementation), Apple OS X, IOS, Wireless Solutions (Cisco, Meru and Ruckus), switches and Routers (Cisco and HP), Backup systems, Servers (HP, IBM and Dell), Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, Logon Scripts, Group Policies, Network Management tools

· Experience of managing and troubleshooting a range of Internet connections

· Good understanding of incident, problem and change management
