Our LA supply the schools internet and now require a certificate to route through their servers, which means our guest WiFi does not work for none domain laptops.

Is it possible to deploy a certificate when a guest connects to our WiFi?

We currently use Unifi AP

At a prevoius place I put the cert on a reachable web servers from the captive portal. The users could then download via a hyperlink pointing to the cert file from the captive portal.

Maybe better ways but this worked for us.

I'd like to offer a different approach to the guest wifi problem. I purchased cheapo broadband for about £127 installed and annual cost. I then put this on a separate guest vlan without routing (separate ssid as well). This in effect gave me a second network that I can bung guests onto without security or bandwidth headaches.

It also useful for troubleshooting remote connection issues etc.

So no logging or accountability as per prevent duties?
