Bromcom_Support Posted June 25, 2018 Posted June 25, 2018 (edited) Hi Norbet Sorry to hear about the problems you are having. The root cause of the problem is GMail and I know you are now in contact with GMail presently. We have left the call open and will offer what assistance we can Edited June 25, 2018 by Bromcom_Support
HC_Netman Posted September 11, 2018 Posted September 11, 2018 I have an ongoing call with this issue. Things are just getting a little stressed here with no reliable method of communicating with parents via email from Bromcom. Hi, Did you ever get to the bottom of this? We are fairly new to Bromcom and we set up the Gmail smtp relay service and all our test messages were successful however when we send bulk messages out some succeed and others fail. It appears completely random which sounds similar to what you described. We have now gone to Bromcom's mail server as a temporary solution but would prefer to not be paying for this if we can get Gmail to work reliably. Thanks.
Bromcom_Support Posted September 11, 2018 Posted September 11, 2018 Hi HC_Netman The problem looks like it is down Gmail putting rate limits on the number of emails that can be sent. Office 365 does something similar as well but it looks like others in this thread have been able to get around this. I would suggest you open up some dialog with Gmail and see if they have any suggestions. If you need any support from Bromcom just raise a call with the support team and we will do what we can to assist. If you do get a positive result from them it would be great if you could update this thread.

Thanks. hi No we were never able to sort it out , even with out Gsuite which gives us the ability to send 10,000 emails a day, i gave up and told the Finance team to go for the paid option from Bromcom first ever MIS system to charge for SMTP relay
