I have been playing with 3CX installed on Server 2016 and I now need to switch from my test environment to a live production environment.

I will be doing a fresh installation using HyperV. I'm using a fresh install as I will be using a new/different license key and I dont want to carry over any of the test settings etc.

For those who run/use 3CX - which server platform are you running it on?

Cheers

We run 3CX, you can deploy it on a Debian image if you so wish though ours is Windows based.

Though I will say, we are moving away from 3CX as they have of late, adopted some shady tactics.

Looking at deploying FusionPBX.

Testing it as we speak.

We're considering it at the moment.

Would you be able to provide a few more details on their 'shady tactics'?

Certainly, they have tried and in some cases succeeded to shut down some open source products to try and dominate the market.

And, If you have older handsets especially Yealink, they appear to be unsupported/Legacy - not everyone replaces handsets. We have some handsets that are 2 or 3 years old and they are now Unsupported/Legacy as far as 3CX is concerned.

If you fancy a bit of a tinker, I'd highly recommend trying FreePBX. Its an extremely cost effective and versatile solution and if you were looking in to FusionPBX, I'd definitely give it a look as well.
