[tv trailer] The City & The City

I'm wondering if they've changed the concept from the book, as the trailer doesn't really give an idea of what's going on (see Wiki https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_City_%26_the_City). I loved author China Mieville's earlier work, but struggled with this one (and most of what I have read of his subsequent output). Will probably give the show a go, though I'd much rather see the first 2 Bas-Lag novels or the wonderful Un Lun Dun adapted.
