DirectAccess - Mac with Windows VM?

Hi All,

Trying to just get some info before I give this a go my self as it could be a huge waste of time.

 

Can you have Mac OS running VirtualBox or similar, with a Windows 10 VM on which is a domain pc with direct access, will it work?

 

My reasoning for looking into this is with GDPR coming in and everything portable needing encrypting on our network, FileVault sorts out the mac side but i'm struggling to bitlocker the windows side too without breaking the mac side.

 

Second question leading on from that would actually be, can you have mac with bootcamp'ed Windows 10 with filevault and bitlocker both running?

Well I can run a Windows 10 physical machine with a HyperV Windows 10 VM that has Direct Access on, so I would have thought you could have a physical MacOS machine with a virual Windows 10 with Direct Access.

I second DJ's "I don't see why not" for virtual machines.

I don't know for sure, but I can't immagine Mac OS is going to play nice with bitlocker.

 

Have you looked at having them connect to a remote VM? We just set up Remote Desktop on our Macs.
