SCVMM 2016 unsupported VM configuration

Hi Guys,

 

im fairly new to SCVMM. I have one VM on a host that is showing the unsupported configuration error. When i go to properties the error im seeing is

 

 

ive looked on the internet and registering SMB fileshares keeps coming up. Various pages mention going to fabric and add storage, entering the provider name and choosing native windows WMI protocol. but i dont get that option, am i missing something?

 

Virtual machine is on a Server 2012 R2 Datacenter hyper-v host
