Good Morning,

I updated our WDS image with the drivers for a new batch of computers. The VGA drivers complained so I used DISM to inject them into the image. However when I reimage the computer I am still getting the Standard VGA drivers.

I have looked through in great detail all the logfiles generated by imaging and in setupapi.dev.log I get this. I interpret this as during imaging the driver is installed, however the Standard VGA adapter driver is installed.

Is there any reason why your intel drivers are not being installed from WDS driver groups ?

Have you managed to get yourself a unnatend.xml file to do your custom install with settings ?

One section of the unnatend file should be set to true to keep installed drivers ?

Thank ITJ2015

The drivers supplied would not import into WDS so I injected them into the image.

I have now pulled the drivers from the image and obtained updated drivers from the intel website which are loaded into WDS.

I have added the setting to my autounattend and it still is not loading the drivers, it is stating an error see below

true

Have you created your image on the stonepcs or on a VM

Also what version of os are you capturing ? I presume 10

Sounds like somewhere in the windows folder the driver is set to not to install.

Best practice is to get a hyperV session on a server or a windows 10 machine and build your image on that machine. You can then keep on top of updates and update your software through out the year.

At least then you wont have drivers on an image which WDS pick them for you, If your are struggling i could send you over my unnatend file via PM

Indeed it well be but where I have no thoughts. The first logfile states that the driver installs. Which is why I am perplexed, I may have finally met something that i cannot fix!
