I have setup and followed this document https://www.jamf.com/jamf-nation/discussions/25452/how-to-use-jamfcloud-with-configurator-to-enroll-devices-into-your-dep however it gets to the final part where it gets to remote management on the ipad and it says the configuration for your ipad could not be downloaded from [school Name] Invalid Profile

The error on apple config is InvalidProfile (MCPprofileErrorDomain - 0x3E8 (1000))

Anyone any ideas

@Brimstone you ever seen this before?

Out of interest did it add it to your dep as I had this error with manual dep enrolment yet when I went into apple school manager it was there waiting to be added to Mdm.

Yes you are right! What is the next step then for it to go into Jamf?

Have you checked that the iPad is in a prestage enrolment? If you go to All Settings > Device Enrolment Program > Click your DEP Instance > Click Devices at the top > Search the serial number of the device. It will say which pre-stage enrolment it is in if any. If it isn't in one, go to Mobile Devices > Prestage enrolments > Select the prestage enrolment you want it in and add.

In Jamf it is not there. However in Apple School Manager it is but in a group called Devices added by apple configurator rather than our casper one.

Any ideas?

You need to assign the iPad to Jamf MDM in Apple School Manager when you manually add it via Configurator...

Perfect just did that and worked. I am guessing there is nothing we can do about the message regarding they can leave the remote management or stop it completely?

Manual device enrollmentYou can also manually enroll iOS devices and Apple TV in DEP using Apple Configurator, regardless ofhow you acquired them. With manual device enrollment, a 30-day provisional period begins once a deviceis activated. During that period, users can remove their devices from enrollment, supervision, and MDM.

So after 30 days they should stop getting this message.
