pete Posted April 4, 2008 Posted April 4, 2008 (edited) Yeah, it does that. BTW, if you're installing XP, get hold of the Universal Audio Architecture patch kb888111 (Universal Audio Architecture (UAA) High Definition Audio class driver version 1.0a available for Windows XP, Windows Server 2003, and Windows 2000), then go into device manager > system devices and enable the HD Audio device(s). The audio and modem drivers depend on that patch. Edited April 4, 2008 by pete
Oops_my_bad Posted April 4, 2008 Posted April 4, 2008 How new is the R61e? The laptop might be quite new to market that they havent got round to putting the drivers up yet. I assume it's in the drop down list as a selection? The hardware is pretty common, any R61/R61e driver should work
browolf Posted April 4, 2008 Author Posted April 4, 2008 it was the extra thinkvantage stuff I wanted, but I remembered I'd copied the files onto the network, although their miniscule folder names leave a lot to be desired.
